Choosing the right roof lantern for your home is an important decision. They should let in the maximum amount of light, yet keep heat in your home and would be intruders out. Letting you enjoy more natural light and amazing night time views of the stars, while bringing a sense of space and tranquillity to your home
The S1 lantern combines aluminium’s clean lines with exceptional thermal performance and features our innovative Thermlock® multi-chamber technology to keep you and your property well insulated against the worst of the UK weather.
This coupled to high performance 28mm glazing means our lantern roofs offer class leading thermal performance, far superior to traditional polyamide systems based around 24mm glazing. A unique co-extruded perimeter seal also ensures draughts and rain are kept safely outside. 28mm glazing also allows acoustic dampening glass to be fitted if required.

Sheerline lanterns are crafted using advanced engineering techniques, ensuring exceptional durability and performance. Their robust aluminium frames provide long-lasting strength while remaining lightweight, making them ideal for any extension or conservatory roof. These lanterns are built to withstand the elements, offering reliable weather resistance and low maintenance.
Beyond their durability, Sheerline lanterns are designed to flood your space with natural light. The high-quality glazing not only maximises light transmission but also ensures clear, unobstructed views of the sky. Whether you’re looking to brighten up your living area or create a more open feel, Sheerline lanterns deliver both functionality and style.
The revolutionary architecture of the S1 system eliminates the security flaws of classic lantern designs. Anti-tamper screws, enclosed anti-tamper glazing, security tape, and our patent-pending glass lock, as well as our distinctive high security ridge end, make it difficult to gain access to a property through its roof lantern. All of these revolutionary features combine to create Sheerline’s S1 system the UK’s most secure aluminium lantern roof*.
Ask Us a Question
Recent testing proved a 6.4m x 6.4m Icotherm roof could carry the weight of four modern Mini cars without showing any signs of movement. When standing on the roof take care of where you step or apply pressure to ensure tiles do not get damaged.
Yes. The addition of an Icotherm tiled roof can make your room up to 90 percent warmer in winter and 70 percent cooler in summer. Additional benefits include reduced noise pollution and no solar glare.
No. An Icotherm tiled roof conservatory is only marginally heavier than a glass roof. As per LABC guidelines (April 2016), if the structure shows no signs of distress, the existing foundations are likely to be adequate to carry the small additional loadings. Existing glazing and door support must also be reinforced.
